If Your Credit Isn't Perfect
A default, some late payments or a past hardship arrangement doesn't automatically mean no. Some lenders look past the score at what happened, how long ago it was and how you've managed since.
What usually helps: being upfront about every issue, a few months of on-time bills, a deposit, and choosing a newer trailer that holds its value. What usually hurts: applying at lots of lenders yourself, and surprises halfway through an application.
Expect a higher rate than someone with a clean file. Be wary of anyone promising guaranteed approval or asking for fees upfront. Our step-by-step plan walks through it.
